Overland Grove is a large single-family housing community located East of Dallas in Forney, TX. The project was influenced by Forney. The building’s interior and exterior draws inspiration from nature’s color palette and textures, by using a neutral scheme and wood finishes. The interior features an open kitchenette with island, large conversation area and conference rooms. Overland Grove also features a large screened in porch, pavilion, grill and picnic area, dog park, outdoor gym, community garden, fishing pier, and a large pool deck.

The major design challenge was designing a facility that was respectful to the 1870's historic design features, while incorporating the modern needs of families of the 21st century. Keaton Interiors accomplished that by selecting modern, unique finishes and patterns in our nature inspired color palette. We also incorporated local antiques from various shops in the area and displayed historic photographs that were curated from the local historical society and museum, Spellman Museum.
