The biggest challenge for this project was setting it apart from neighboring properties.  The area in and around The Grand is booming with new construction, and people are really flocking to North Austin to live and work.  To stand out , we immediately thought what are you going to see from the street to draw you in? Our double height leasing lobby has a spectacular custom chandelier that is like a piece of art.  The wave like forms and shining pendants immediately attract your attention as you are walking by, especially at night.  They layered shades at the storefront of this space look like a textile installation and are functional window coverings.  We really focused on carrying the elegance of the property's amenity area into the units.  The corridors have hospitality carpet with an organic design as well as cut outs in the ceiling with warm cove lighting.  This makes the experience of walking into your home feel you are walking through a luxury hotel.  In the units themselves, we have high end appliances, book end cabinets by the peninsulas, a tall quartz back splash in the kitchen in lieu of tile, and all the peninsulas and islands have a waterfall counter top.  Some bathrooms have wet rooms where the tub and shower are all enclosed in one space, and the closets have custom dressers in them.  All these special details really help this community stand out.
